Andrew Tang graduated with a master’s degree in neuroscience at the University of Hartford in 2019. He then went on to obtain a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Arizona where he successfully defended in 2025. Andrew’s research project pertained to discovering drugs that attempt to reverse the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease. During this period, Andrew had published numerous scientific papers including a co-authored publication in Nature Communications.
Andrew is passionate about scientific communications and college teaching, as he has completed certifications in both fields while pursuing his PhD. During this time, he had also founded “The Scholar Power Hour”, a campus-wide weekly focused discussion that aimed to connect graduate students of diverse backgrounds together.
Outside of his professional career, Andrew enjoys racing cars, practicing mixed martial arts, attending live music shows, trying new recipes, and engaging with volunteering opportunities.
